What happens when the smart lock battery dies?
The lock will alert you via the app and audio prompts well before the battery dies. If it completely drains, you can either use the emergency physical key (keep one outside the house) or connect a standard 5V power bank to the external emergency USB port to temporarily boot the lock and scan your fingerprint.
Can I give temporary access to guests or maids?
Yes. Via the companion mobile app, you can generate temporary OTP (One Time Passwords) that expire after a set time, or register a specific RFID card/fingerprint that only works during scheduled hours (e.g., 9 AM to 11 AM daily).
Will this lock fit my existing wooden door?
Our standard smart locks fit most solid wooden doors with a thickness between 35mm and 65mm. Please send us photos of your door edge and current lock via WhatsApp so our team can confirm compatibility and the required mortise size before purchase.
Does the lock still work if the Wi-Fi is down?
Absolutely. Fingerprints, PIN codes, RFID cards, and the mechanical key are all processed locally on the lock and operate completely offline. Wi-Fi is only required for remote unlocking and receiving real-time entry logs on your phone.
